Installing Edirol/Roland Virtual Sound Canvas 3.2x under Windows Vista / Seven / Eight:
[IMPORTANT NOTE: You MUST be running an x86/32bit edition of Windows Vista,
 Windows 7 or Windows 8 in order to install the Virtual Sound Canvas MIDI Software.
 IT WILL NOT INSTALL NOR RUN UNDER x64/64bit/Itanium editions of Windows!]

Extract the Edirol/Roland VSC files onto a Vista/Win7/Win8 computer.  Find its setup.exe
file, right-click on it, choose its Properties and on the Advanced tab,
check the option "Run this program in compatibility mode for" and select
Windows XP (Service Pack 2).  Click OK and run that setup.exe file to install
the Virtual Sound Canvas files and restart the computer [Caution: If for some reason,
Windows displays a prompt that it cannot verify the publisher of the Roland VSC drivers
during setup, click on "Install this driver software anyway" to continue installing
the VSC drivers].

If you need to set Roland VSC as your default MIDI synth in either Windows Vista,
Windows 7 or Windows 8 (because the options to choose the MIDI Output device are no longer
there, download the Vista MIDI tool from this web site:
http://www.benryves.com/products/vistamidi
then run the Vista MIDI Tool, select Roland VSC as the Default MIDI Output device
and click OK to make changes.
